5.13.7. Removal and installation of thermoscreens

In operating time of the engine the system of production of the fulfilled gases heats up to high temperature. Therefore at strong mechanical damage or considerable corrosion of the thermoscreens installed on system elements surely replace them. Besides decrease in level of comfort in salon, malfunction of thermoscreens can lead to ignition of a thermonoise isolation of a body floor as converter of the fulfilled gases heats up to temperature over 600 ° C.

For removal of the thermoscreen of a final collector execute the following.

1. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the thermoscreen …

    

NOTE The lower bolt of the thermoscreen of a final collector can be not turned out completely. It is enough to turn out of it on several turns.

2. … also remove the thermoscreen of a final collector.

3. Install the thermoscreen of a final collector as it should be, the return to removal.

For removal of the thermoscreen of the main muffler execute the following.

1. Turn out four bolts of fastening of the thermoscreen to the body basis …	2. … wring out the main muffler down so as far as elasticity of pillows allows, and remove the thermoscreen.

    

PREVENTION Edges of the thermoscreen sharp. At its removal protect hands from injuries rags or gloves.

3. Install the thermoscreen of the main muffler as it should be, the return to removal.

For removal of the thermoscreen of the additional muffler execute the following.

1. Disconnect system suspension bracket pillows from arms of the additional muffler (see. "Replacement of the additional muffler"), a reception pipe (see. "Replacement of a reception pipe") and from a forward arm of the main muffler (see. "Replacement of the main muffler").

2. Turn off four nuts of fastening of the thermoscreen of the additional muffler to the body basis …	3. … also remove the thermoscreen, having wrung out the additional muffler down so as far as elasticity of system allows.

4. Install the thermoscreen of the additional muffler as it should be, the return to removal.

For removal of the thermoscreen of converter execute the following.

1. Disconnect system suspension bracket pillows from arms of the additional muffler (see. "Replacement of the additional muffler"), a reception pipe (see. "Replacement of a reception pipe") and from a forward arm of the main muffler (see. "Replacement of the main muffler").

2. Turn off four nuts of fastening of the thermoscreen of converter to the body basis …	3. … also remove the thermoscreen, having wrung out converter down so as far as elasticity of system allows.

4. Install the converter thermoscreen as it should be, the return to removal.
