6.2.3. Replacement of oil in the transmission

The design of the transmission does not provide replacement of oil during all service life of the car. However sometimes need of replacement of oil can arise, for example, upon transition to oil with other viscosity, at repair of the transmission, etc.

GOOD ADVICE
It is recommended to merge oil within 15 min. after a trip until it cooled down and has good fluidity.

It will be required to you: a key "on 13", the syringe, wide capacity for the merged oil.
    
NOTE
In the transmission fill in API GL-4 SAE 80W-90 or SAE 75W-90 oil.
The manufacturer recommends to replace the oil which is filled in at the plant with SAE 75W gearbox oil if the car a long time is operated at a temperature of air below -30 °C.

1. Establish under the transmission capacity for the merged oil, turn out bolts of fastening of the lower cover of the transmission...
2. … also merge oil.
3. Uncover also laying. Wipe a cover and laying with pure rags for removal of the remains of oil.

    
NOTE
It is desirable to replace laying the lower cover, new at each removal.

4. Remove a protective cap from an opening stopper for the filling of oil located from above on an intermediate case of the transmission.
5. Weaken a stopper inhaling …

NOTE
The opening stopper for oil filling at the same time performs function of a sapun therefore check purity of openings in it.

7. Turn out a stopper of a control opening.
8. Fill in oil with the syringe in an opening in an intermediate case …
9. … until its emergence from a control opening. Wrap a stopper of a control opening.

GOOD ADVICE
In a stopper the magnet for collecting metal products of wear is established, clear it before installation of a stopper.

10. Wrap an opening stopper for filling of oil and put on it a protective cap.

PREVENTION
Operation of the car without protective cap of a stopper is forbidden! At its absence road dirt will get to the transmission.
